1. Product overview

CIREBELLE Softspheres™ are technologically advanced, self hydrating wax spheres, designed to be soft enough to smear onto the skin with ease, leaving the skin smooth and supple. These wax Softspheres™ are produced via our unique technology. It offers the added benefit of entrapping the active ingredients inside a wax matrix.
Available in the standard colours of Black, Brown, Green, White & Red and upon request in various other colours also;  CIREBELLE Softspheres™ allow for opportunities to match formulations to a specific brand or theme and can hence also serve to enhance the visual attractiveness of a final product.

2. Manufacturing Process

CIREBELLE Softspheres™ are manufactured with extreme care to ensure consistent quality & purity.  In order to maintain a high quality standard, CIREBELLE Softspheres™ are subjected to 5 production steps before finally being packed:

2.1 Blending and Dispersion

 

The ingredients are blended together and the pigments dispersed carefully in a temperature controlled vessel.  Care is exercised not to expose sensitive ingredients to conditions that could affect their stability or potency.

2.2 Micronisation

A technologically advanced process is used to form the spherical particles in the required particle size.

2.3 Classification

This is a quality assurance step and ensures uniformity of the particles.

2.4 Air Aspiration

This process was developed to remove from the bulk any particles differing in either form or density. 

2.5 Sorting

 

Each kilogram of product is hand sorted as a final check and approval step. Colour, uniformity and overall resemblance are compared to a standard.  Based on the extent of deviation, products are either rejected or re-routed to one of the previous steps.

3. Stability & Formulation Properties

CIREBELLE Softspheres™ are supplied as solid particles and can readily be incorporated at room temperature into emulsions, creams and gels … provided that a rheology modifier is used to keep the particles suspended. Examples of rheology modifiers include Veegum, Bentone, Carbopol and Xanthan Gum. CIREBELLE Softspheres™ will soften within 24 hours when in contact with the water inside a formulation. Testing for robustness in various formulations has shown complete stability with regard to colourfastness and possible bleeding of colour.
